Ying Wu is Visual Director for People's Daily Media Innovation (PDMI), based in Beijing, China. She focuses on media technology and invention, such as AI voice searching tech, storytelling on mobile by using VR/AR, gaming, animation and data visualization, etc. Ying was an Assistant Professor at University of Missouri, School of Journalism, where she taught multimedia design. Prior to that, she worked at Boston Globe and Beijing News. She was an SND award winner. And she's served as judge for SND competitions in 2013 and 2014. She earned a B.F.A. in graphic design at Beijing Institute of Fashion technology and an M.A. in visual and media studies from Brandeis University at Boston MA.
